My job is to help Mariana with the management of the lab and the scientific projects, so the team has the adequate support to perform quality research. This includes from admin tasks to mentoring and even some come backs to the lab.
I did my Bachelor’s in Biology at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain) and then my curiosity took me to the University of Bristol (UK) where I did my MSc in Molecular Neuroscience and my PhD in Neuroscience, researching on synaptic plasticity and neurodegeneration. Before joining the Astiz Lab, I worked as a postdoc in nutrigenomics, as a project manager in cancer and took some career breaks to explore the world. I am happy to be back in the neuro-world, putting my skillset at the service of the lab, scientifically and otherwise!
In my free time, I love going on outdoor adventures and travelling, even more if I combine it with friends and a good meal!
